E-mail new cover backyard deer  If any of your have read and enjoyed  my outdoor books, Backyard Deer Hunting: Converting deer to dinner for pennies per pound, Crossbow Hunting or Practical Bowfishing; I would appreciate your posting a brief review on Amazon.com or any other electronic book outlet that you do business with.

Unlike fiction titles, readers do not very often post reviews ofE-mail cc crossbow cover outdoor books, and some havePreface 5 Practical Bowfishing been in print for years and never been reviewed. Favorable reviews are very helpful in promoting sales.

For more information on my books refer to my website, www.hoveysmith.com. You will find the three titles on my home page and more information deeper in this blog. The Table of Contents and Introduction of Backyard Deer Hunting  are among  the oldest postings in the archive section.

  1. William Hovey Smith is a self-made man; he posseses many talents – creative hunter, chef, multi-tasker, primitive weapon marksman and historian, photographer and videograph entrepreneur, and excellent writer. His latest book “Backyard Deer Hunting” offers a unique plan for “putting meals on the table for pennies per pound.” It is a very creative method for producing inexpensive meals for survival in today’s challenging economy.
Hovey Smith is a self-made man and a valued good friend.

  2. My husband just told me about your site. He saved it on the computer so I could look at it and I must say you’ve got some awesome stuff here. Sorry I don’t have much more to contribute, but I just wanted to offer up some encouragement.

  3. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You clearly know what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence on just bloging videos to your blog when you could be giving us something enlightening to read?

    • I have only done 14 books. You can see some of the more recent outdoor titles at http://www.hoveysmith.com. I try to present information anyway you might want it. Hardcover books, softcover books, videos, blogs, radio and TV. Plunder around my website, and you will find lots of things to read, see and listen to.

  4. Is there any way to subscribe to this post? I’d like to be updated on the comments here as they come in. I’ve always been somewhat of a debater and I’d like to hear other’s opinions on this issue.

  7. I grew up to the ripe old age of 18 back in Northwestern Illinois, alongside the Mississippi River. Enjoyed reading Elmer Keith stories on hunting in Idaho.

Joining the Navy back in 1968 (68-72) changed any plans of living back in Illinois-life just “happened”!

Learned a trade (automotive transmission & drivetrain) & wound up living in Kalifornistan for 31 years. Finally wound up in Idaho!

Elmer Keith is long gone but met a few fellows who share my hunting/shooting interests here in Idaho.

I can say that Hovey’s books really tell it like it is. Very well written & chock full of helpful information.

Thanks for putting it into print as well as documenting it on these great You Tube movies!
